Clinomania otherwise known as Dysania is an excessive desire to stay in bed. This is a good example of what health expert term as manias that have no rational or sometimes even physiological basis for occurrence.
Many experts believe that bad weather can act as a trigger for this condition. Also after a period of Sustained exposure to sunshine can lead one to develop clinomaniac/ dysanic tendencies.

Clinomania/Dysania comes from two Greek words that stand for an intense addiction to stay in bed, and is indeed a mania that results in the victims of this mania having an excessive desire to stay in bed. People who suffer from this condition usually spend most of their leisure time in sleeping and can even stay in bed for days at a stretch. This habit of staying in bed can play havoc in the daily life of the sufferers. However, this condition does not occur because of any disease and is a problem of psychological nature.

It is essentially a mania, which causes its victims to stay in bed for abnormally long periods and causes them to develop extreme reluctance to leave their beds even after staying in it for hours and even days at a stretch. My Struggle With Narcolepsy
